FAQ
The questions clients and business owners most often ask before working with us — from preparing information and assessing your situation to how we work, fees and choosing the right approach.
01
Do I need to have a problem or be sued before I can consult a lawyer?
No. You can consult us both before a problem arises and after a dispute begins — especially on contracts, transactions, partnerships, employment and decisions that may have legal consequences later.
Does Intimate Lawyer only work with business owners?
Our core work is supporting business owners, companies and organisations. But individuals with legal issues involving contracts, debts or disputes are also welcome to contact us for an initial assessment.
02
What should I prepare before consulting a lawyer?
A short timeline of events with key dates, related documents such as contracts, invoices, demand letters or message exchanges, and what you'd like to happen. If you don't have everything yet, you can still start — our team will tell you what else to gather.
Can I send documents for an initial review?
Yes. You can send documents by email or LINE so our team can see the big picture before we talk. All information and documents are kept strictly confidential.
03
Can you assess my chances of winning?
We can assess the strengths, weaknesses and risks based on the facts and evidence available, to help you decide more clearly. But no lawyer can guarantee an outcome, because results depend on the evidence and the court's judgment.
Does consulting a lawyer mean I have to sue?
No. A consultation helps you see all your options. Many matters are resolved through negotiation, a formal letter or mediation. Litigation is just one option we consider when appropriate — and you always make the final decision.
04
Can a company without a legal department use your services?
Yes. Intimate Lawyer has experience supporting companies without an in-house legal team, as well as businesses that need ongoing legal counsel. We can tailor the scope to your business's size and needs.
If our company already has a legal department, can we still use Intimate Lawyer?
Yes. Our team can review work, give additional opinions or support matters that need outside expertise, working alongside your in-house legal team.
05
How are your fees calculated?
It depends on the nature and scope of the work — for example, reviewing or drafting a contract, ongoing advisory support, or litigation. We always set out the scope and fees clearly before any work begins.
How long does it take?
It varies by type of work. Reviewing or drafting documents is usually quick, while negotiations or litigation depend on the other party and the court process. We'll give you an estimated timeframe from the start and update you on progress regularly.
06
Does Intimate Lawyer take matters outside Khon Kaen?
Our office is in Khon Kaen, and you can consult us by phone, LINE or video call from anywhere. For work that requires travel or litigation in other provinces, we'll assess and advise on the details case by case.
